10/19 6pm The Johnston County Commissioners will meet on Monday, October 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Johnston County Courthouse, located at 207 E. Johnston Street in Smithfield. Attend the meeting and make your voice heard on local decisions that shape your community’s safety, services, and priorities.
10/19 6pm The Johnston County Planning Board will meet on Tuesday, October 20, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Johnston County Courthouse Annex. Attending is a great opportunity to learn about decisions that may affect your neighborhood and community.
10/22 6:30pm The Republican Men meet on Thursday, October 22, at 6:30 p.m. at The Frying Pan, located at 3198 S.Brightleaf Blvd. in Smithfield. It’s a great opportunity to connect, stay informed, and enjoy fellowship. We hope to see you there!
Early voting for the November General Election begins on Thursday, October 15th, and runs through Saturday, October 31. Early voting allows you to choose a date and time that best fits your schedule and helps you avoid potential Election Day crowds.
Johnston County GOP is seeking volunteers to serve as poll greeters during early voting, October 15–31! Morning (8:00–9:00 AM), midday (12:00–1:00 PM), and evening (5:00–7:30 PM) shifts are available at five locations: Archer Lodge Community Building, The Bridge Church in Smithfield, Benson American Legion, Oakland Presbyterian Church, and The Church at Clayton Crossing. Anthony Pro-Life America is now hiring North Carolina Field Representatives to conduct door-to-door voter surveys on pro-life issues, offering flexible hours, 20–25 per hour, mileage reimbursement, and potential bonuses, so please see the attached flyer for additional information and application details.
